Osteopathy
At our clinic, osteopathic care is provided by Patrick Suwala and Meg Rector, two dedicated Osteopathic Manual Practitioners who share a deep respect for the body’s innate ability to self-regulate and heal, guided by strong scientific foundations and hands-on expertise.
Patrick Suwala began his professional path with a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from the University of Waterloo in 2015. Driven by a passion for understanding human movement and function at a deeper level, he went on to complete four years of intensive training at the Canadian Academy of Osteopathy. Patrick graduated in 2020 with a Master of Osteopathic Manipulative Sciences (M. OMSc.), reflecting advanced education in classical osteopathic principles, anatomy, biomechanics, and manual treatment.
Meg was drawn to osteopathy through its holistic view of the body as an interconnected system, where structure and function are inseparable and the body possesses an inherent wisdom to heal. Inspired by this philosophy, she enrolled at the Canadian Academy of Osteopathy in the spring of 2021 to pursue osteopathic manual practice.
The CAO program is a rigorous, four-year education rooted in classical osteopathy and extensive hands-on clinical training. Throughout her studies, Meg developed a deep understanding of the relationships between the musculoskeletal, nervous, circulatory, and visceral systems. Her training included advanced anatomy, physiology, biomechanics, and hundreds of hours of supervised clinical practice, ensuring a thoughtful, precise, and safe approach to care. In April 2025, she proudly completed the program and became an Osteopathic Manual Practitioner.
Together, Patrick and Meg bring a collaborative, patient-centred approach to osteopathic care—combining evidence-informed practice, skilled manual assessment, and a whole-body perspective to support pain relief, mobility, and long-term health.

Osteopathy is a hands-on, holistic form of manual therapy that focuses on the alignment, mobility, and function of the entire body. Grounded in anatomy, physiology, and biomechanics, osteopathy helps to relieve pain, restore movement, and support the body’s natural ability to heal itself. Rather than just treating symptoms, osteopaths look at how your muscles, joints, nerves, organs, and circulation are working together. By identifying and addressing restrictions or imbalances, osteopathy works to restore balance and promote long-term wellness.
